Posted 4 January, 2016. Well, a testdrive should say everything. 1.8tsi its problematic itself, and with dsg7 its ubeatable bag of troubles. Relay on mileage can be seen, how quick issues will come on. 170tdi with dsg6 will be more reliable, just heard complaints about dsg algorithm- 40mph and already on 6th gear!!
Model: Skoda Superb III 2.0 190hp diesel L&K. Posted 22 December, 2017. I think the 1.4 engine is paired with the dry 7-speed. The 2.0 petrol and the diesels are paired with the wet version. The dry dsg should be fine with the 250nm engine though..
Under the bonnet is the same 4-cylinder 2.0-litre turbo petrol from the popular Golf R. Tuned to 206kW and 350Nm matched with a 6-speed DSG, it's enough to get this family sleeper from 0-100km/h
DQ250 is a six speed transverse DSG with a wet clutch pack. The gearbox code in the diagnostic log shows 02E and or 0D9. This also has a service requirement of 40.000 miles. Fitted to 2.0 litre petrol and diesel engines. DQ381 is a seven speed transverse DSG with a wet clutch pack and torque capacity of 420-430Nm.
VW launched the DSG gearbox to offer a better solution to the traditional 3 or 4-speed automatic gearbox that was common at the DSG's launch. It features a twin-clutch design that offers faster and simpler gear changing with a wider range of gears (6 speed at launch and now the more common DGS7 with 7 gears, since 2008).
What makes this DQ400e DSG so unique is that it uses three clutches. This third clutch connects the electric motor to the combustion engine. This automatic gearbox is used, for example, in the Škoda Superb Mk4 and Volkswagen Golf GTE. The 'primordial DSG', the DQ250 unveiled in 2003, has actually remained unchanged since its introduction.
