Pros The Skoda Octavia is built on the versatile MQB EVO platform, which means it offers great driving dynamics, good ride quality, and exception handling. The Skoda Octavia looks very sleek and appealing. Skoda Octavia Cons: Lack of powertrain options. No diesel engine for heavy users or a cheaper, more reliable MT; New-style large radiator grille will divide opinions. Some like it, some find it ugly; Misses in the equipment list such as a sunroof, ventilated seats & regular USB ports; Pathetic stock tyres are among the worst we've experienced. The Pros are: Very economical. Enough power when required . Good PD punch of power. Bulletproof engine. Easy to maintain . Cons are: Nothing. I don't find mine noisy at all compared to pre PD engines. When I drove a 1.6tdi Octy as a loan car I found it very sluggish and have to work it harder. I wasn't impressed but that of course is my opinion. .
